Hints

Easy DP

Go to Free Duel mode and use a deck that uses as many cards that reduce your opponents as possible. Set the rules so that you and your opponent's LP are 2,000. Then, play them all from your hand for an easy win. Do this against a Obelisk Blue Girl for the biggest bonus. Use Tremendous Fire, Restructor Revolution, Ookazi, Final Flame, Hinotama, and even Sparks to achieve this.

Getting a Tagforce partner

Find one of the seven people to be your partner (Jaden, Syrus, Chumley, Alexis, Chazz, Bastion, and Zane). Duel the one that you want to be your partner. After you win and get your DP you will hear a ringing sound. This indicates that you have gained trust. Go to the database in your Slifer red dorm room. Go to list of duelists. You will see the duelist you have defeated. Notice the heart shapes next to them. This is the trust meter. The closer you are from filling the eight hearts, the more likely they will be your partner. If the duelist you defeated does not ring after you win, then skip a day so that it does. One duel equals one sixth of a heart.
broadwayclothier

Use the following trick to get a Tag Force partner with sandwiches. In your room is a book icon. Select it and choose "Database" then "List Of Duelists". A long small bar with small hearts that increases with every action you made with the main characters will appear. Every Sunday you can duel in tag team with the higher heartbar character. Besides dueling and winning, you must talk to a desired one and give him or her sandwiches. Talk to them and choose from the first three topics. If you choose the academy, when something good happened as well to a desired character, his relationship heart bar will increase. You can deduct this sometimes, if you ask others and choose the rumors option. Sometimes they will tell you if something good or bad has happened to anyone in particular. Avoid talking with someone when they had unfavorable situations (even though they have particular feelings about some kind of sandwiches) To give a sandwich, keep pressing R and select item with Square in front of the chosen one. Just avoid giving them something that they do not like. Picking a sandwich can be difficult at first, but it takes some time to have a desired one. Jaden prefers curry, cook, fermented soybean. Syrus prefers vegetables, fruits, and girl preferred sandwiches. Chumley likes almost anything. Zane likes golden egg and sometimes Destiny sandwich. Bastion likes ham, steak, and all animal related food. Alexis girl prefers jam, grapes, and tangerines. Chazz likes delicatessen (lobster or caviar). This will increase the relationship as well and, in the case of the golden egg with Zane, your relationship will increase more than only dueling. Search for Pharaon and give him any kind of sandwich. He will start following you. When you talk with them, or someone who is upset with you, he or she will have more tendency to talk to you increasing your relationship with that character as well.

Fight Jinzo

At 11:00 p.m. go to the forest. Turn left to go to the power substation. In the middle you will see Jinzo and be able to fight him. Note: His deck is mostly about using Malice doll and Ectoplasmer to his advantage. Use something that destroys continuos spells.

Defeating Kagemaru

Have a deck filled with spells and traps such as Magic Cylinder, Dark Hole, Lightning Vortex, Swords of Revealing Light, and Spellbinding Circle. Due to these cards, it would be best to have some deck thinning cards such as Pot of Greed, Jar of Greed, etc., which are best used in an Exoida/field control deck. Basically, use some remove from play traps on the Sacred Beasts that he might summon and use their attack against the CPU (Magic Cylinder, Snatch Steal, Blast Sphere, etc.). After you defeat Kagemaru you will fight him once more. After that you will have successfully finished Part 3 and will acquire one of each Sacred Beast card.

Cyber Dragon

Getting the cards you want from the store

When you are going to spend your DP on Booster Packs, save the game and go to the store. By doing this, if you get a booster pack with cards you do not like, you can restart the PSP and go back to the store without losing DP. This can be extremely useful when buying the booster packs that are worth 5,000 DP.

Glitches

Infinite loop

When dueling against Axel, have a monster out on the field that is the only one out that negates effects targeted to its own type (for example, Cyber Phoenix). If the CPU has Tri-Blaze Accelerator or Blaze Accelerator out and selects the monster (Cyber Phoenix), its effect will negate Tri-Blaze/Blaze and Axel will not discard a Pyro-type monster. This will continue in an infinite loop until you exit the game or turn off the PSP.

Buy almost all packs from a set for 150 DP

Note: This is described using buttons only, you can use the stylus if desired. This way is just easier and better detailed for description purposes. Enter the Duel Academy Campus. Choose "Store". Choose "Card Counter". Put the pointer over "Legend of the White Dragon" and press A. Press A to select the first pack only. Press B to return to the pack selection screen. Move the pointer over to the pack you want to "buy" all of and press A to enter it. Press A again to deselect the first pack of this set. This is the only way it will work. Press B to return to the pack selection screen. Move the pointer over to any other available pack. It must not be one you chose a pack from and must not be one that they are sold out of. Press R and the cost will go down to 150 DP. Press X and you will now have the new cards.
Anthony L.

Select any random pack then go in. Pick one pack only, then exit. After that, select the desired pack. Pick the first five packs. Exit then go to another pack that is in stock. Note: Do not pick any of the two packs from before. Then, press R and go back to the one you are going to by pressing L. Go back to another. Press R and all the packs should be only 150 DP. Note: You cannot buy all the packs using this trick. There must at least two packs and the one you want.

Never duel difficult duelists

All the easy duelists are out in the daytime. When it turns to evening, walk to your house and go to the shop. Do this until it turns to night. Go to your house and sleep. It will be morning again and you can duel easier duelists once more.

Getting desired cards

When you are in the house, save the game. Go to the store and make sure you have enough money to buy a pack of cards. If the card you want is not in the pack, turn of the DS. Turn the game on again and you will end up at the house. Go back to the store. You will have your money again. Repeat this until getting the desired card.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum

This trick requires two controllers. First, create a new profile (P2) in campaign mode. Save P2 before you do any battles. Then, exit to the main screen. Select versus mode. Load your main profile (P1) and P2. Go to the Entrance Hall and go to P1's Manage Monster. Go to "Build Unit". Put the monster you want to duplicate or level up into your Capsule Stock. Press Circle(3) and select your battlefield. Before you start the battle, have P1 ante the monster you just put in your Capsule Stock. Start the battle and on P1's first turn, surrender. Then, go back to the Entrance Hall and save P2, but do not save P1. Then, return to title screen. As long as you do not save P1, both profiles will now have the monster. You can repeat this process until one of your profiles has as many of the monster as desired. In about ten minutes, you will get three of the same monsters into one profile, which is useful if you want to get three Harpies or three Blue Eyes White Dragons to fuse together. Also, versus mode is great place to do the fusions, because there is no threat of an enemy attack. Use the next tip to level up your monsters for fusions.

Get the monster you want to level up into P2, as described above. Then, start the campaign. Use the desired monster to take out all but one of your opponent's monsters. Then, use the desired monster to take out your opponent's symbol. By doing this, you can take a level 1 monster to level 4 to 5 by the end of the first area. Against Joey alone, by taking out three of his monsters and his symbol you can get 160 experience points and what is given for the battle experience.

  • Easy monsters

This trick requires two memory cards and controllers. Get some monsters up a few levels and multiple monsters. Remember to save the game. Then, start a new game with a different name and save it on memory card two. Next, go to versus mode and play against memory card two. Choose to ante monster cards and only let one player win. This is a very quick way to receive three Harpie Ladies or Blue Eyes Whide Dragons.

  • Special monsters

Some monsters are only unlocked in Grandpa's store if you have met specific criteria. For example, the Sinister Serpent is only available for purchase once you have obtained 50 Water-type monsters.

  • More experience points for monsters

To get more experience for a monster, have that monster destroy your opponent's symbol. They will get anywhere between 50 to 100 experience points.

  • Start each round with all your monsters

Usually when a monster or capsule is destroyed, you cannot use it during the next round. However, if you start the next round and bring up the menu with "End Turn", "Unit List", etc. and go to "Surrender" and select "Try Again", you will restart the level with all your monsters available for use.

  • Map advantages

Certain map attributes can cause physical damage to your monsters, such as lakes of lava and crackling electrical arcs. Only monsters with the same attributes as these dangerous spaces can pass through unharmed.

  • Magician Of Black Chaos

To get the Magician Of Black Chaos, you must have a Dark Magician. The easy way to make him evolve is get him to level 3. Then, stop using him. When you reach area 5 and face Kaiba, you should use the Dark Magician. Have him almost to level 4 like 15 exp. to go. Know when he summons the Blue Eyes White Dragon and find a monster to weaken it so you can use your Dark Magician. When he kills the Blue Eyes, he will be level 4. Make sure nobody can kill him. You must wait until the field turns from light to dark. Then when you are on the dark ship, go to Your Dark Magician. He should have evolve. Select it to get a Magician Of Black Chaos.

  • Harpie Lady Sisters

You must have three Harpie Ladies in order to fuse the Harpie Lady Sisters monster. Because only two Harpie Ladies are available for capture on Mai Valentine's Valley of Howling Winds board (and never in the shop), you must play through the game twice to get all three.

  • Defeating Joey

The first fight in the game is with Joey. He uses fire-based monsters. Use water-based monsters to battle with. Place your token near the bottom corner where the hills slopes down. Place your monsters surrounding your token to protect it. Make sure you summon all your monsters before you move their positions. Once you and Joey summon all the monsters. The field will flood some of the arena, giving the water-based monster a field power up. Allow Joey's troops to get close to the water so that you can maintain the power bonus. After a few more turns, the field will flood even more. If Joey's monsters were near the water, the location where they were at is probably flooded, causing them to get weaker while you maintain your increased power. Keep hammering away at his monsters for victory. Additionally, to defeat Joey get or buy water and other monsters that can go on land, because thewater goes up and down.
